I'm loosing some of the strength I gained. It's most notable in my neck.

Neulasta for Stem Cells
The purpose of this blog is to track and publish any improvement in strength I have after taking Neulasta. This is a form of stem cell treatment for my ALS. See the first post on 16-Jan-2005 for details. My replies to comments may be brief and may not be prompt because I have so little energy.

Hi, readers,
I'm Wayne's Dad, Chuck. He has had a health problem, is away from computer. On 5-8 he had an unexplained severe attack of pancreatitis, with fever, high blood pressure, high blood sugar. Only high sugar remains, coming under control with insulin, but he is very weak. He has apparently lost all the new strength he acquired by taking the Neulasta. He is less able to tolerate short periods off his vent.
He had continued his med routine
previously reported, in combo with the Neulasta. He was taken off all those meds to fight the pancreatitis, and is now being returned to those meds.
Because the medical world considers his experience to be
"anecdotal," it is not likely to
be reported anywhere but here.

Thank you, Chuck, for the update. I hope Wayne is now doing better. Sorry to hear the effects of the Neulasta were not long term. Still, anything that yields any improvement in a PALS is worth investigating.
